Parimala & Co. had all the ingredients for an entertaining family comedy, but the final product falls short of its potential. Despite fantastic performances from Urvashi, Jayaram, and Mysskin, the film struggles under the weight of too many subplots. The screenplay feels scattered and unfocused, constantly jumping between threads without giving any of them enough room to land effectively. Even the editing fails to bring momentum to the narrative. What makes the disappointment more evident is that the film clearly has several high moments designed but unfortunately, the direction and execution fail to elevate these scenes, resulting in very little impact when they arrive. That said, the film isn't without its merits. The scenes featuring Urvashi and Jayaram together are easily the highlight, and there are a handful of genuinely funny moments here and there. If you're a fan of Urvashi and Jayaram's chemistry, Parimala & Co. might be worth a watch when it arrives on OTT...
