Hombale Films, in collaboration with Kleem Productions, has formally announced the creation of the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, kicking off with Mahavatar Narsimha, an animated 3D retelling of Lord Vishnu’s fourth avatar. The studio revealed that the first installment, centered on the Narsimha-Prahlad tale, is scheduled to premiere in cinemas on July 25, 2025 .

Directed by Ashwin Kumar, produced by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai, and Chaitanya Desai, and presented in five Indian languages, the film will also feature 3D visual effects for a pan-India cinematic experience. A teaser, launched on Makar Sankranti, has already amassed over 2 million views within 24 hours, indicating strong audience interest. 

Producer Vijay Kiragandur said the ambition is to create a mythological universe comparable to cinematic super-franchises by exploring “awe-inspiring tales of Lord Vishnu’s avatars”. Mahavatar Narsimha marks Hombale's third cultural venture after Kantara and the KGF franchise, reinforcing its emerging reputation for large-scale, culturally rooted storytelling. 

With its lavish animation, multi-language release, and epic storytelling, Mahavatar Narsimha is positioned as the cornerstone of this new saga, blending devotional themes, visual spectacle, and franchise potential.
